Valley of the Kings – Egypt

Ever since I was a child I have been fascinated with Egypt and all aspects of Egyptology. We studied the Pharaohs and the story of Tutankhamen in school and since then I have always wanted to visit this magnificent country.
The valley of the kings is home to a large amount of tombs built for the Pharaohs and many of them are open for public viewings. Whilst on a trip to Egypt you can expect to see sights that you could not of imagined and the history behind it all would excite almost everyone. Within the tombs you can see scriptures on the walls written in hieroglyphics telling stories of the past. Without these scriptures we would know little about the Egyptians way of life.
If you are planning a holiday to Egypt, make sure you check what vaccinations you will require before travelling. Unfortunately more and more of the Valley is being closed off to the public, so I would strongly suggest going sooner rather than later.
