Scuba diving in Turkey

Whilst away on holiday in Turkey recently we decided to try out scuba diving, no one in my party had ever done it before so we were all a little nervous and didn’t really know what to expect. With so many companies in turkey offering scuba trips we decided to have a look round then go back to the hotel to check out reviews online of the different companies. (And I’m so glad we did!) The reviews really varied to issues with safety equipment to people’s impressions of the scuba staff however we soon found a company with a fair price and great reviews so booked our trip.
The trip started mid-morning with a boat ride out to one of the quieter bays, during the 45 min trip we were able to enjoy lying in the sun on the deck of the boat. We then came to a spot where they stopped the boat then gave us all a safety briefing along with explaining the different hand gestures to be able to communicate under water. After we all put on the scuba tanks and safety devices then slowly entered the water, one by one we were taken down to the correct depth and then all swam together across the ocean floor looking at the beautiful array of sea life and plant live under the water.
We then had the opportunity to have a photo taken under water as a memento and after about half an hours dive we surfaced and went back to the boat for a meal and drinks and the trip back to the harbour.
All in all a fab day out that I would definitely do again.
