Booking excursions with your tour guide

When you go on holiday abroad you may be tempted to go on a few excursions whilst away. The types of trips offered range depending on were you go and what season it is. If you go to a place out of peak season you may find that there are limited trips available but the ones that are open often have some pretty amazing deals on offer.

In some countries you will not be able to walk down the street without being approached by people trying to sell you trips. This can become annoying after a time and you may even find yourself crossing the road to avoid them. If you do stop and talk, you will probably be given the hard sales talk and they will try to convince you to book any trips you wish to go on through them rather than your tour guide. Admittedly they are often cheaper, but saving a few pounds may not be worth while. If you book through your tour operator, the chances are you will have a lot more success in getting your money back or booking another trip if yours gets cancelled. Tour operators are there to make sure that your holiday is enjoyable and they will often go above and beyond to ensure this.
