Taking your children abroad for the first time can be extremely daunting for many parents. Depending on the age of the child, you may have to take sterilisers, bottles, milk and nappies and will have to check exactly what and how you can take through customs.
Children are often at more risk to infections when abroad so you will need to make sure that you think about what food they are eating and if it is safe for them to drink the water or even have ice in their squash!
Sun burn can not only cause a child immediate pain and illness but can have severe long term consequences therefore it is vital that if you are going to a place where the UV ray level is high that you ensure your child is well protected. Sun cream often does not last long especially if in and out of the pool but ideally you should keep them out of the sun during the hottest parts of the day. Always make sure that your child is kept well hydrated too as it is easy to forget to have a drink when you are having so much fun on holiday.
